The reason Lee became a Patron is Sean O’brien the founder approached him in 2012 just as Lee was leaving the Corp and asked if I would like the honour of been a patron. Lee instantly said yes and his reasons were mainly that he had a lot of people that had supported his sporting career while they were on Operations and felt that by joining Go Commando it was a real way of Lee been able to give something back to Royal Marines and their Families.
Lee and his family have helped at many events and has used his connections to get volunteers to run for the charity and also helped run events in and around Taunton that raised money and awareness that all go to support Royal Marines and their families. Lee will continue on balance helping GC where he can around his job that takes him away 5-6 months away.
