Our patron, Kevin de Val, passed away last week, after a long battle with cancer. As you will know, Kevin was a very proud retired Royal Marine, having served for 35 years, including Company Commander at 40 CDO and retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was a trustee of Go Commando since its inception in 2010 and has been a fantastic supporter of all RM families throughout the life of the charity and was passionate about the success of The Brambles Children’s Day Nursery. He stepped down as Chairman due to ill health but we were delighted that he agreed to continue as a Patron. He will be sorely missed by us all. He leaves a wife, two sons and a stepson.
